Week #2 Acting

In my second week of research, I have learned how to show emotions while acting.
I am not an actress myself, but one thing I do know about acting is that you truly need to know and understand the character that you are playing as. to act as your character, you need to understand how they'd feel in certain situations, I would they act? how would the speak? What would they say?
Also, don't forget that expressing these emotions include more than just words and tones. It should also effect your posture, gesture and facial expression.

Some ways I've learned how to express emotions and truly understand your character

1. Read and study your script and try to learn and understand why each character reacts the way they do and how you would feel in the situation yourself
2. Visualize any scenes, why does the character react this way? What is the character thinking? Think about the characters personality or how the character speaks, acts and poses.
3. Practice being the character, find a mirrors and recite the lines in character. Practice posture, tone, body movement and facial expression.
4 When trying to convey an emotion, make yourself believe that you are the character. Build up their fears, and feelings, and try to live in the world the character is living in.
