Week #2 Acting

Image
In my second week of research, I have learned how to show emotions while acting. I am not an actress myself, but one thing I do know about acting is that you truly need to know and understand the character that you are playing as. to act as your character, you need to understand how they'd feel in certain situations, I would they act? how would the speak? What would they say? Also, don't forget that expressing these emotions include more than just words and tones. It should also effect your posture, gesture and facial expression. Some ways I've learned how to express emotions and truly understand your character 1. Read and study your script and try to learn and understand why each character reacts the way they do and how you would feel in the situation yourself 2. Visualize any scenes, why does the character react this way? What is the character thinking? Think about the characters personality or how the character speaks, acts and poses. 3. Practice be

Hello! Welcome back to my blog! This week, I will be learning about showing emotions while acting. So far, the research as been easy to find, however I'm not sure if its going to stay that way in the next coming weeks, as i will begin to start experimenting and testing my skills!

Week #1 Dance

For week number one, I am going to learn about how emotions can be displayed through dance. Emotions are not just an idea in your head. The way you feel can also affect your body language and posture, for example, if your happy you'll probably feel 'loose' and jumpy, if your sad, you'll drag your feet, and have a droopy body and if your scared you'll tremble, or rap your arms around yourself. These body languages can be used in dance to display emotions. Alongside the right facial expressions, and music. '                                                                                            Here are some dance moves that I've learned to express fear, joy and sadnesss. Dance moves that can help express fear include: not traveling or taking up to much space, scared facial expressions, trembling, and looking around anxiously while dancing. Dance moves that help express happiness include: upbeat music, smiles, light and gradual movements and

Week #1

Hello everyone! Welcome back! So far, in my first week of research I have learned some ways that people express emotions through dance. I will be using various websites, videos and art galleries for my research. Hopefully, by the end of my research, I may become better at expressing emotion in my own art, and I'll have a better understanding of the arts. Each week, I will learn about a different art: In Week #1  I will research and learn how people show emotions in dance. In Week #2  I will research how to properly show emotions in theater/acting. In Week #3  I will learn what makes us feel emotions when listening to music In Week #4  I will research and learn how to show and express emotions by painting. And what makes us feel emotions when looking at a painting. In Week #5  I will learn how to show emotions in photography. In Week #6 I will learn and practice to draw human emotions in creative ways.

Hello everyone! my name is Tabitha Langford and Welcome to my blog! I have always had a passion for the arts, I love to draw, write, take photos and listen to music. And although I'm not good at it, I enjoy acting and dance as well. One of the many things that interests me when it come to the arts, is how to display emotion and what makes us feel emotions when looking at or listening to different types of art. In the six weeks, I would like to learn how emotions are displayed through the arts and what about Art makes us feel emotions such as sadness, anger, excitement and more. I chose to do this topic, because I feel like sometimes my art lacks emotion, and maybe learning about this could help me improve. Each week, I will post my research and experience for each art. The arts I will learn about will be, drawing, painting, acting, dance, music, and photography.
